In service since 2005 the high speed Normandie Express operates seasonally on Portsmouth-Caen route - in 2011 it will operate between 18th March and 31st October.

Brought into service at a cost of 120m Euros in 2009, the state of the art Armorique was secifically designed to operate on the Plymouth to Roscoff route. It was designed to be particularly fuel efficient to keep CO2 enmission to a minumum.
The ship will operate on the Portsmouth to Caen route during January 2011 whilst other vessels are unavailable
The Normandie was commissioned by Brittany Ferries in 1991 specifically for the route between Portsmouth and Caen. Named after the French region, the Normandie is decorated in traditional Norman style and of course has the usual great Brittany Ferries facilities onboard.
